Employee Spotlight: Angie Rivera

Employee Spotlight: Angie Rivera

Roger WilcoJanuary 27, 2020

Welcome to the first-ever blog installment of the Roger Wilco employee spotlight! Every week, we’ll introduce you to a long-time team member right here on our blog. You’ll get to know them a little better, understand their position at Roger Wilco, and even maybe learn something new about the store or employee.

So let’s get started with an extremely valued member of the Roger Wilco family, Angie Rivera. We sat down with Angie to ask her a few questions about her job, her life outside of work, her alcohol tastes, and more!

Job Title: Inventory Receiving Manager

Working at Roger Wilco Since: 2011

Angie has certainly come a long way since joining the Roger Wilco family 9 years ago. From starting in data entry, to working as a cashier, to taking charge of invoicing, and then starting her current position two years ago, she has showed determination and skill that has led her to managing all of our inventory!

When asked about her day-to-day at the store, Angie explained that her main task is keeping track of all the products that the store put on display and sell — and we all know that’s a lot! In fact, the most unique thing about Roger Wilco to Angie is the huge amount of inventory and selection we have. So next time you stop in the store and see a vast variety of bottles on every wall, that’s all thanks to Angie making sure everything that goes through the door is correct.

When Angie’s at work, her favorite thing to do is interact with customers. Then once she’s off the clock, she heads home to do her absolute favorite job — being a mom to 3 kids. That’s why, when we asked Angie about her favorite holiday, she immediately lit up saying “Christmas,” because she loves spending time with family, experiencing holiday cheer, and seeing the joy on her children’s faces.

Once the kids go to bed, Angie likes to wind down with one of her favorites: either rum, vodka, or tequila. If she’s feeling creative, she’ll turn her top alcohols into tasty cocktails like Long Island Iced Teas, Tequila Sunrises, and Cranberry Vodkas — and, of course, pair them with a salty snack like potato chips or pretzels.

Now that you know a little more about Angie, feel free to stop by Roger Wilco Pennsauken to get to know her a little more. She loves talking to customers, so start a conversation with her any time! We appreciate all you do, Angie!
